An Omani national, Ashwaq has been working for Veolia since 2010. With a B.Sc. Chemistry from the Sultan Qaboos University in Muscat, she started her career as a Lab Chemist on the Sur desalination plant. She is now a Lab supervisor, in charge of supervising and reviewing the work of the staff responsible for performing chemical, biological and physical tests to produce potable water.
